Statement pieces are something I have stayed away from for a long time. I haven’t been able to really wrap my head around investing on something that I can only wear once in a blue moon or only style one way. But I have been wanting a slip dress for ages and decided to take a risk!
I am starting to get the hang of putting outfits together, styling different pieces and getting my closet to put in work. And every now and then, a pop of color makes a big impact. Go big or go home, right?
This red slip dress from Marée Pour Toi is as gorgeous and sexy as it gets. On its own, it makes a huge statement, but I wanted to style it a few different ways that would fit into my daily life on the regular.

This particular slip dress comes with a removable tie waist, so I added the small belt and tucked this chunky, cream sweater in. I love the juxtaposition of the fluffy knit with the soft silk dress. There is just something so cozy and chic about the two textures together.
Throw on a chic wool coat and you are set to take on the rest of March in NYC.
I don’t know the last time we went out on a date and I didn’t wear my leather jacket. I am totally predictable. But nothing says sexy like a par of strappy heels, a bit of silk and a classic moto jacket.
It is super easy to take a slip dress and turn it into a shirt. Either tuck it into your denim or tie it up in a knot like I did. Just another quick way to take your clothing even further. Versatility at it’s finest!
This is truly my favorite way to wear a dress. Cute pair of classic white sneakers and a denim jacket. It makes me feel cute and put together, without trying too hard. Plus it is perfect for every day life!
There is just something so fun and pretty about taking such a gorgeous, sophisticated dress and styling it down. I added in a white tee underneath just to add a bit more casualness to it.
