In early September, I went to NYC for NYFW and CurvyCon (did you see my look featured on InStyle for NYFW?!!)). I also had the opportunity to try on Marée Pour Toi clothing before their online store was up and running and get to know the label. I also went to a pop-up shop hosted by your favorite #inthefittingroom style guide, Curvily. Keep reading and scrolling because I chose my 6 favorite looks to photograph with my favorite visual collaborator, Kevin Deel.
I consider myself well versed in all things plus fashion. However I had an epiphany when trying on clothes in an office at the Marée Pour Toi headquarters. It goes like this: We all know that all of us plus size people have limited options when compared to our thinner friends. There are some incredible options and I use them in my photographs on my Instagram a lot. But here’s the thing, we are so used to our limited options that we sometimes don’t even realize what options just haven’t been available to us. Even me, and aesthetics are my life! I didn’t know that I was missing rust colored silk shirts with poet sleeves or a red jumpsuit that fits my torso in my life!
I really commend Marée Pour Toi with their commitment to fit, because it is truly spot on. Right now their clothing is available in sizes 12-24. I sincerely hope they extend their size range with the same commitment to fit so my friends outside of these sizes can experience it too!

Red jumpsuit! Seriously this jumpsuit is so amazing Jen Ponton wore it to the Emmys! It could be worn to a red carpet event or dressed down to brunch. It is available in red and black. I am wearing a size 20. I tried on and could wear an 18, but found the legs were longer with a looser fit. I’m 5’10” for reference. I paired it with white studded loafers, because of course I did. This winter I plan to pair it with a long shirt underneath and a blazer. LOVE this!
I am wearing the Plaid Bustier top (size 16) with matching skirt (size 18). I love that this looks like a dress but are actually separates, because hello pear-shaped life! I love that I can customize sizes to accommodate my curves. They also carry matching pants which I clearly need. Or maybe you don’t want separates, but want the look in dress form? Here you go! I have been eyeing this mustard blazer which would look amazing with it in cooler months or situations when I need a bit more covering. I paired my look with a belt bag and mustard mules in the photo. I have also worn this look with bright white running shoes, because I do what I want.
This foil print trapeze dress with the pussy bow is even more comfortable than your favorite pajamas, but definitely more elegant. You can wear it loose, which I plan to do paired with bold tights this winter. But for now, I cinched it in with a belt bag to create a different look. I have worn it with white sneakers and also with mouse colored sandals as seen here. I am wearing a size 16 as the cut is loose.
I feel like a billion dollars in this look. It is a high-end look. The rust striped pants were the first part of this ensemble that caught my eye. They have that 70s retro look that I love and a bit of stretch making them look & feel effortless. However, never in my life did I know I would love a cinnamon colored (washable!) silk poet blouse like this! Never! Now it is one of my favorite items! I am wearing a size 20 in pants and a size 16 in the top. I paired it with mustard mules and a rust retro styled bag.
This 70s vibe russet glitter lurex striped bodycon! I’m hear for all the glitz and the glam of the 70s! I love how it hugs my curves gently. I am wearing an 18. I don’t see it on the site yet, but it is available in a skirt here.
I’m really feeling the 90s vibes of this chiffon maxi shirtdress. This is such a great look for fall! The sleeves are sheer with a Swiss dot pattern. It buttons all the way down so you can wear it as a duster too! Imagine with tall leather boots to wear with this in the cooler months! On trend, comfy and effortless. Yes, please. I’m wearing a 16.
